This page explains the standards behind every article published on Wellness Journal.
Evidence standard
We base claims, in order of priority, on systematic reviews and meta-analyses, randomised controlled trials, large observational studies and the guidelines of respected institutions. We do not draw sweeping conclusions from a single small study; where the evidence is preliminary, the article says so.
Sourcing
Important claims are linked in the text to the relevant research or institution. A reader should be able to trace every claim.
Updates and corrections
Science changes, and so do our articles. Guides are reviewed at regular intervals and updated when the picture shifts. Substantive corrections are noted in the article.
Independence
Editors have no financial relationship with the brands mentioned in their articles. Affiliate links, where used, are disclosed on the page and never influence what we recommend.
